If you want the play speed increase but without indev issues, the Gnomoria web server program allows for this as well. 4x is totally playable and nice, 256x breaks things terribly. An alternative would be to play a kingdom with very little water.Īside from mods, I think the only big feature is the 4-256x play speed. And later, if things go well with straw sources and gathering, then I might even get more yaks to set up my yak defense against the goblins. Towns just seems to be headed in a direction that is uninteresting. But I think I am more interested in where Gnomoria can go in the future. 9.18 for now unless you are willing to let a kingdom sit until next indev RC comes out once the water bug breaks it. With that number for yaks, emus, and llamas, I can get 2-3 extra animals per day. Towns has developed more of its own feel, while Gnomoria still feels like a huge UI improvement to a primitive version of Dwarf Fortress. I have been playing on indev, but right now the water bug breaks things terribly, so I would suggest. So, if you want to go indev, you can get more mods, or continue on. I don't know when 1.0 is going to be out, but 1.0 RC11 was released almost a couple weeks ago, and prior to that there were more frequent updates, so I'm guessing it is one of the major bugs being squashed, or a big modding thing coming, in the next few days.Īs for mods, more have come out since then, but it is really a moving target to mod during the indev stage when most of the development work is focused on modding. But, the updates have been mostly background stuff for modding and stuff that breaks things, so he is doing them in a beta. I could even dig a pathway from the holes to my main stairwell going down into my mine, then fill in the passageway backwards so the final wall piece put in place is the wall of my main stairwell, but that method is awfully complicated and time consuming.RoboBob is hard at work on Gnomoria. I'm not OCD and don't normally care about little details, but for some reason those holes just drive me round the bend, and I really desperately want to get them filled in. I could just build a floor over the top of ramps (doesn't work with stairs though), but this leaves lots of little dark holes littered around the underground landscape. I know you can rotate the map but that doesn't do anything as far as allowing me to fine tune object placement. This page covers the equipment progression in Gnomoria and provides detailed. In the Uniform tab of the Military window, you can specify the weapons and armor that your gnomes should equip. Armor in particular protects against bleeding wounds and the risk of losing limbs in battle. And because the stairs are in the way, the fill hole command does not work. Weapons and armor improve your gnomes' ability to defend themselves against the myriad threats they encounter. I could leave a builder down there and have them deconstruct from the same level, but then they would be trapped on that floor, and I would have to build another set of stairs to get them out, thus renewing the initial problem. So I fill in the passage all the way up to the stairs, but then my builders constantly cancel their jobs because they can't figure out how to pull the stairs apart from above. So far as I can see there is no way to remove (or deconstruct) ramps and stairs from above. When I have sent them down underground for whatever reason, and now I'm bringing them back out, filling in the passage which they used as they go. The issue is when my Gnomes have been down into the hole, and are coming out afterwards. The fill hole command works great for one block spaces on the floor level below the one my Gnomes are working on, and I can figure that out no problem. And before you say 'use the fill hole command' - that's not what I mean. I can't seem to figure out how to fill a hole. 1.10 Patrol Route 1.11 Hospital List of Designated Areas Stockpile Stockpiles for Wood, Drink, and Food This option creates a space to pile up raw materials and finished goods and provides a means for keeping all your Gnomes' stuff organized. Somebody please feel free to slap me about the head with a Yak meat sandwich until I get it sussed. Okay, I'm missing something obvious here.
